A New City couple has been sentenced for their roles in the murder of an 85-year-old grandfather.
Constantinos Doonan, 32, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and has been sentenced to 20 years to life in prison.
His partner, Jo-Ann Haw-Hee, 27, admitted to manslaughter and has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
According to authorities, the couple strangled Doonan's grandfather, Constantinos Mastakouris, in his home in January 2023. The victim's remains were hidden in a crawl space and not discovered until two months later.
The sentencing took place in Rockland County Court.
