A rescue dog from Mohegan Lake that went missing in last weekend's blizzard has been found, thanks to the help of News 12.
Lisa Lipedusi's 6-year-old boxer-beagle mix got loose outside her home Saturday.
She and dozens of volunteers spent hours putting up fliers and searching the surrounding woods. After four days, there was still no sign of Maddie.
On Wednesday, Lipedusi called News 12, which aired a story and directed people to a Facebook page she set up for her dog.
"A stranger, somebody that's not a friend, somebody that shared a link said, 'I think I saw your dog down near Route 6,'" she said.
When Lipedusi got there, she found Maddie. Lipedusi said Maddie would get the royal treatment on Thursday, including a steak dinner and bubble bath.
