The two Westchester men whose car was allegedly fired upon by an off-duty NYPD officer have filed a federal lawsuit against New York City.
Joseph Felice and Robert Borrelli were on their way home from a hockey game when they stopped at a red light at Lincoln and Sixth avenues in Pelham last April.
Officer Brendan Cronin, who was off duty and allegedly drunk at the time, is accused of firing 14 rounds from his 9mm service revolver without warning.
Felice was struck six times, but survived.
Cronin has been charged with attempted murder, assault and DWI. He remains on administrative leave.
News 12 is told that the city has 20 days to respond to the lawsuit. The city said it has not yet been served with papers.
