A memorial has been set up in Bridgeport for a promising Harding High School basketball player who was electrocuted after making contact with wires in a train yard.
Angel Santiago is being remembered at Knowlton Park Thursday as a brilliant young athlete with a promising future, and whose life was cut tragically short.
Santiago attended Harding High School and was known for his skills on the basketball court, and for his warm engaging personality off the court.
A fundraiser is taking place at Knowlton Park in memory of Santiago.
City leaders tell News 12 they are working with MTA officials to extend the fence along Crescent Avenue where Santiago was killed last week.
