The Westchester County Health Department has issued violations at the Look Dine-In Cinemas after a dead mouse and rodent droppings were found in multiple areas.
Health officials they say this is a repeat violation for the Dobbs Ferry theater.
According to the health inspection report, a dead mouse was found trapped under wires behind a curtain in one of the theaters. Rodent droppings were found in multiple areas, including on the surface of a storage cabinet in the kitchen as well as behind movie screens in five of the eight theaters.
The report also states that while there are health violations, there is no public health hazard.
Earlier this week health officials posted a notice of closure sign, but the theater is now open. However, there is a sign posted that says no drinks or food will be served.
A spokesperson for the Look Dine-In Cinemas released a statement to News12:
"The cleanliness and safety of our guests and team members is our top priority. We work with multiple licensed pest control providers on an ongoing basis and maintain regular preventative treatments. In addition, we are coordinating closely with the property’s development group and Westchester County Health to proactively address and resolve any concerns.
According to the health report a hearing is scheduled for later this month to go over the violations and make sure they've been corrected.
