A group of Greenburgh teenagers needs your help raking and beautifying the yards of their elderly neighbors.
Zach Weinhouse, Liam Mantini and Noah Seifer are running the Town of Greenburgh's 'Landscaping Angels' program.
The program, which began in 2021, spruces up the yards of local senior citizens, who might not be able to rake all those leaves themselves.
They dedicated two days for raking.
During their first raking day in October, they landscaped eight yards and now need help handling another list of clients for their upcoming day of service - which is on Saturday. "I grew up with my grandma, staying every other week at my house. As she's gotten older, she's had to stay at her home in Brooklyn. Over the past few summers I've been visiting her and I've been helping out. I've learned to get to know other people in her apartment and that's where the volunteering aspect came from," says Mantin.
The group needs more volunteers for this Saturday and possibly on other days, depending on their clients' schedules.
If you'd like to help or learn how you can get assistance from the Landscaping Angels Program, fill out this form.
