Jenkinson's Beach reopened access points to the public on Saturday.

Point Pleasant Mayor Paul Kanitra made the announcement on his Facebook page.

The reopening came after the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection warned the closures violated state laws.

Jenkinson’s owns the majority of the beach and initially closed all access points along the 1-mile boardwalk.

Earlier this month, padlocks and chains went up on the company’s portion of the beach.
