A federal investigation took place on Wednesday at an office building in Armonk.
The investigation was happening at 200 Business Park Drive.
ICE Homeland Security Investigations, the U.S. Secret Service and local law enforcement were on scene.
"I saw these armed guys," says Armonk resident Gino Ciuffetelli. "They had a lot of heavy-duty weapons on."
A spokesperson for ICE Homeland Security Investigations says they executed several court-authorized law enforcement actions in New York and the tri-state area related to an active criminal investigation.
Right now, they aren't releasing any other details to the public.
People who work in the building say investigators were there for hours.
"This is something that you know you see on the news in another place, in another city, or in Manhattan," says Westchester resident Susan. "I was shocked, absolutely floored. I saw them all. I mean, there wasn't one or two, there's at least 20 people or more out there," says Ciuffetelli. Someone who works in the building also sent News 12 a photo of a door being bolted up. They say it was smashed through, and the picture shows it after it was cleaned up. Other people say they saw the door, too.
"I noticed was bolted shut with blocks of wood on the doors," says Susan.
Investigators say more in
formation about what they're investigating will be released as it becomes available.
