Family and friends bid a final farewell Tuesday morning to the two men killed in last week's wrong-way crash on the New York State Thruway in Rockland.

Dozens turned out for the funeral Mass for James DeVito at the Sacred Heart Church in Suffern.

Mourners embraced after solemnly trailing behind the casket of the 59-year-old Airmont man as it was brought in to the church. The funeral took place exactly one week after he was struck and killed on impact by wrong-way driver Richard Christopher.

Christopher's funeral also took place today in New City.

DeVito, who worked at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh as an executive chef, is survived by his three stepchildren, grandchildren and parents.

His wife Wilma died in February after an eight-month battle with cancer.
