While most people who traveled over the Labor Day weekend likely made their way home by train, plane or car, one man says his journey is nowhere near its end.
Nathan Dickenson is a hitchhiker, and while many people prepared to head back to work after the holiday weekend, he says his travels last all year long.
"On Friday I was in Connecticut," Dickenson says. "On Saturday I was in Massachusetts."
He says that he has met all kinds of different, interesting people along his journey, but some were dangerous.
"Some random guy walked up, put a pistol in my face and said, 'Empty your pockets,'" Dickenson says. "I had 35 cents on me. He robbed me. Then hit me with the gun and ran away."
In spite of the dangers, the "good definitely outweighs the bad," according to Dickenson.
