The Harrison police chief defended his department Thursday amid cries for an impartial probe as lawsuits mount up against the force.

"I'll give them everything," said Chief David Hall. "I have nothing to hide here. Bring the FBI, bring the district attorney's office." Hall suggested Town Supervisor Joan Walsh is playing politics by bringing up the need for an investigation.

Walsh denies that claim. "I'm not making any statements of guilt," she said. "There are 11 lawsuits filed [against the Harrison Police Department]." Walsh plans to consult the town board about what step to take next.The latest lawsuit comes from a teenage girl who claims three Harrison cops forced her to watch a sex tape that she starred in. Officers found the tape when they raided her boyfriend's home last year.

Suspended Harrison Officer Ralph Tancredi is also suing the department over the alleged use of hidden video cameras in locker rooms.

Tancredi supported Walsh in her run last November. However, Hall backed incumbent Stephen Malfitano, who lost.

The tight-knit community is closely watching the case unfold, with many residents saying they know all parties involved.
