Greenburgh's town supervisor is urging the state to improve road conditions in the area.
Supervisor Paul Feiner says car owners who have their vehicles damaged on roads like Central Avenue and Knollwood Road won’t be helped by the state for nearly half the year.
He says the state government has exempted itself from having to reimburse car damage between Nov. 14 and May 1, even if the state had written notice of poor road conditions.
Feiner says he hopes state lawmakers will change the law and reimburse drivers year-round if the state has received notice of potholes and done nothing to fix them.
