Cindy Kanusher, executive director of the Pace Women's Justice Center, spoke with News 12 on Wednesday's verdict in the Sean "Diddy" Combs case.

Mount Vernon native Sean "Diddy" Combs has been acquitted on one count of racketeering conspiracy and two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion - all of which have a maximum sentence of life in prison.

However, he was found guilty on two counts of transportation for purposes of prostitution, each with a maximum life sentence of 10 years.

Kanusher says that while Combs may have been cleared of three of the charges, that doesn't mean the victims weren't heard.

She says its important for anyone to feel comfortable coming forward, especially in cases like these.

"As advocates who work in the field of domestic violence, our hope is that the verdict in the trial doesn't discourage victims from coming forward," she says.

Combs is being held without bail ahead of his sentencing.

He could face up to 20 years in prison.
