Hearts are shattered in West Nyack. That's where many are mourning the sudden loss of a beloved man.
Police say 41-year-old Joseph Signorini, of Congers, was hit and killed by two vehicles Wednesday night. Signorini was first hit while in the southbound lane and then struck again in the northbound lane, according to police.
News 12 was told Signorini worked at Rockland Motors and was crossing Route 303 to get to his car when the incident happened.
Officers say the vehicles involved stayed at the scene.
"I'm still in shock, it's a lot," says Signorini's friend, Natasha Rivera.
Signorini was loved by many in the community.
Dozens gathered for a vigil for him Thursday night.
People told News 12 Signorini was a good man and a great father. They say he was loyal and hardworking.
"Amazing dad, amazing son, amazing brother. He helped a lot of people," says Rivera.
Close friends say their hearts are with Signorini's family during such a tragic time.
