Business owners along Route 9A in Elmsford tell News 12 the constant floods are killing their business and they don't know what to do or who to turn to.

"Really disaster, this is the new kind of flood we are having- it's the fourth time," said Azhar Nadeem, the owner of the Citgo Gas Station on 9A.

The rainstorm was two days ago, and he's still cleaning up the damage to his gas station. His business was closed all day yesterday. And he wasn't the only one. Shinu Joseph, the owner of Discount Liquors is in the same boat.

"Every flood, basically, we're forced to close the store," he explained

The constant rainstorms are killing his business. He lost about $5,000 to $6,000 in sales yesterday, and it's just a matter of time till he has to close again for the next storm.

"It's really affecting me for my monthly payments and my employees' pays, and we are losing. We have five people working - they're losing their jobs."

They say they've reached out to local officials but don't ever hear back. They feel like they're on their own.

"Still cleaning and now I heard that there is another storm building up, if I finish this tomorrow, and another storm is coming, we are in a big big problem, I don't know if I'll make it or not," adds Nadeem.
