More than 20 teens are in trouble with law Monday after police broke up a beer bash Friday at a home in Harrison.
Police say a teenage girl decided to throw a party Friday for 33 of her closest friends while her parents were out of town. They say they received a number of complaints from neighbors about the loud noise coming from 88 Pleasant Ridge Road. When police responded, they say a bunch of kids were hanging out in the back of the home. Police say when they looked in a basement window they saw beer cans and hard liquor.
Twenty-six teens were arrested and issued appearance tickets for unlawful possession of alcoholic beverages. Six other teens under the age of 15 were taken home to their parents and issued youth cards. As for the parents of the teen who threw the party, Harrison Police Chief David Hall says they will not face charges because they were unaware of what was going on in their home.
