The new leader of the Archdiocese of New York, Timothy Dolan, visited a Westchester prison for women Monday.
Archbishop Dolan told the women at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility that he wasn't there to judge them and said he was praying for them.
"This is my work. This is my sacred responsibility to be with people in need," said Dolan.
Dolan also made a private visit to sick inmates in the prison infirmary and met with the babies and new mothers in the facility's nursery.
