Many Bronx residents headed to the Claremont pool to kick off July Fourth.
Although the weather is much cooler today, and the sun has been hiding behind clouds, Bronx residents say they are just happy to be outside.
"I wanted to just relax and be near the water and not be bothered, and this is the perfect place for it," one resident who brought her children to the pool says.
While city pools were also open last summer, people admitted that between vaccines, and the rest of the city reopening, this year feels different and maybe even more fun.
Everyone at the pool agreed that this July Fourth at the city pool just feels normal again.
