A fire broke out underneath the bridge at the entrance to Plum Point Park on Saturday, prompting concerns about the bridge's structural integrity.

Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus described the blaze as "significant" and has closed the bridge and park until further notice.

Neuhaus suspects arson as the cause of the fire, and an investigation is ongoing. Authorities are currently assessing damage to determine the bridge's structural safety.
