Lucky brides-to-be scored free wedding dresses from a Long Island bridal shop Thursday. 

'Princess Bridals' threw the giveaway in Westchester County to celebrate 53 years in business. 

More than four dozen brides gathered for the special giveaway at Manhattanville College in Purchase. 

The historic Reid Castle was the backdrop for the event that changed the lives of 53 brides-to-be. 

"My co-worker, who helped my fiancé plan the proposal, actually told me about this and said 'why don't you try it?" said Michelle Lopez. 

The recipients applied for the giveaway, and they were chosen based on financial need as well as personal hardships.

Lopez, who is getting married to the love of her life next year, was gifted a free gown by Princess Bridals.
