A Carmel man, whose trip to Niagara Falls almost hit a snag, had an encounter with a famous actor who helped him continue on his journey.

Dylan Cavalliero said in a Facebook post that a fallen tree was blocking traffic northbound on the Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County after a recent storm.

However, a "stranger" lent a hand to clear that tree. That unexpected helper was actor David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper in the hit Netflix series "Stranger Things."

After clearing the road with the help of other good Samaritans, Cavalliero captured the moment with a selfie.
