Residents were out at Rye Beach Saturday, enjoying the first beach weekend of the year.
Beachgoers said they enjoyed relaxing, getting away from school for a while and soaking up the sunshine.
The beach closes at 6 p.m. and neighboring Rye Playland closes at 11 p.m.
