Sell was originally scheduled to visit three Fairfield elementary schools, but his visit was canceled, after some parents cited concerns with age-appropriate content and his books.
Sell is the author of "The Carboard Kingdom Series," which includes queer and gender non-conforming characters.
The author took part in a Q & A tonight with children and parents.
After a district meeting and backlash from some parents, the superintendent extended a re-invitation to Sell.
