Construction is underway on a new affordable and supportive housing development that aims to offer on-site care for Bronx residents in need.

The development, located at 860 Concourse Village East, will soon be Renova West, an affordable housing building with multiple onsite services.

Yarojin Robinson, of Gilbane Development, says these apartments will be affordable for all.

"A market rate for a studio in this area is around $2,100 a month. These tenants will be paying less than 500$ a month," says Robinson.

Out of 266 apartments, 160 will be reserved for formerly homeless households and individuals with mental and/or physical health needs.

Rebecca Crimmins says this was designed to be a one-stop shop for tenants.

"An idea that we call a whole health hub, so people can address behavioral or physical health needs in one location," says Crimmins.

The complex will have features including case management, care coordination and other support for tenants.

Construction is said to finish in 2028.
