Millions expected to hit the road for July Fourth

One person was seriously injured this morning in a crash between a car and a motorcycle in the town of Wappinger, according to state police.

The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Route 9 and Myers Corners Road, police said.

Route 9 was closed in both directions following the crash but has since reopened.

The injured person was flown to Westchester Medical Center in serious condition, police said. Their current condition is unknown.

Police have not released any information about other passengers involved in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
