A 14-year-old student has been arrested and
accused of falsely reporting an active shooter at Pine Bush High School
Wednesday.
State
police say the teen used another student’s cellphone to call 911 around
12:30 p.m. and lied saying there was a potentially deadly emergency in
the building.
The
incident prompted a massive law enforcement response and created widespread
fear among students, staff and parents during a lockdown at the high school,
Crispbell Middle School and other district buildings.
Police
say the teen was turned over to his parents and the case will be handled in
family court.
