A pair of baby twins met each other for the first time Monday at Blythedale Children's Hospital in Valhalla.
Nina and Emma are both 11 months old.
Nina was born with Pierre Robin Syndrome, a rare congenital birth defect that resulted in an underdeveloped jaw.
She was admitted into Blythedale Children's hospital this past September where she's been going through extensive therapies and complicated surgeries.
"There's been a lot of using our patience, learning new skills, dealing with things I think we never thought we'd have to deal with as parents, but this moment right here, it feels so good,” says father Daniel Sparano.
Sparano says he's grateful for the welcoming, patient and communicative environment Blythedale has created for his family.
He says he now can't wait to get Nina home to experience a true twin dad life.
