An event for children was offered at Yonkers Riverfront Library Thursday in response to the cats found killed on Overlook Terrace in April.
The event, held at the Yonkers Riverfront Library, aimed to teach children the importance of treating animals humanely.
All of the cats found dead on Overlook Terrace were killed in a violent manner. The incident is being called the worst case of animal abuse in Westchester County history.
The Cat Council of Westchester was formed in response to the Yonkers cat deaths to better the lives of all cats in the county.
