A water main break in Yonkers left about 50 homeowners without water for several hours Monday. Officials say the century-old water main, located at the corner of Roxbury Drive and Central Park Avenue, broke as Department of Public Works (DPW) employees were trying to fix a smaller leak. Workers say the age of the pipe and the warmer weather may have contributed to the break. Some homeowners in the area were without water for about three hours while DPW crews repaired the main.
