yesterdayThe Yonkers Police Department unveiled some new technology that they say will keep the city safer.
Officials took the wraps off its new Motorola Solutions AWARE Crime Control Center on Tuesday.
"We have all the video feeds, from all our cameras, coming in here. We have all the feeds from our license plate readers come in here. Our feeds from our 911 calls come in here. Wanted suspected individuals come into this room," says Lt. Dean Politopolous. Members of the Yonkers Police Crime Control Strategies Unit will operate the technology. The goal is to enhance policing in Yonkers, and keep the community safe.
