Yonkers police crack down on drag racing and loud mufflers

News 12 is told the 1st Precinct impounded two cars for drag racing, as well as a motorcycle while issuing 43 summonses for speeding and loud mufflers along Central Park Avenue.

Yonkers police are continuing their fight against drag racing in the city and had quite the busy Friday night.
News 12 is told the 1st Precinct impounded two cars for drag racing, as well as a motorcycle while issuing 43 summonses for speeding and loud mufflers along Central Park Avenue.
Yonkers police says reckless driving and loud exhaust systems are now the number one complaint in the city and that enforcement will continue to increase into the fall especially on the Sprain Brook and Bronx River parkways as well the New York State Thruway.
