Classic car enthusiasts spent the eve of the Fourth of July at an antique car show in Yonkers.
The Latin Cruisers is a club of individuals who bring their antique cars to a parking lot on Executive Boulevard every Monday.
Club member Marc D'Ambrosio, of Thornwood, says the car show brings history to life.
D’Ambrosio showcased a Chevy Nova that he says cost less than $3,000 in 1970.
While modern cars are welcomed, members say they prefer vintage.
"The American cars, back in the ‘60s and ‘50s, they had more style to them," says William Martinez Jr., the club’s president.
While the club primarily meets to admire classic cars, members also participate in community causes. The Latin Cruisers are currently holding a fundraiser to benefit St. Jude’s Hospital.
