Yonkers launches parking meter pilot program
The city of Yonkers is testing out new ways to pay when you park. Muni-Meters are being used on McLean Avenue. The system involves paying at a central location and then placing a receipt on your dashboard.

The city of Yonkers is testing out new ways to pay when you park.
Muni-Meters are being used on McLean Avenue. The system involves paying at a central location and then placing a receipt on your dashboard.
Another option the city is looking at is Smart Meters, which take coins and credit cards. Drivers do not need to wait for a receipt with Smart Meters. Some of these can be found in downtown Yonkers.
The city is going to run its parking meter pilot program until January.
