Yonkers Chamber of Commerce announced the election of its first Latino president.
Lenny Caro said he's been in the role for about 10 days as of Monday.
He said he replaced Kevin Cacace, who will remain with the chamber as treasurer.
In an interview with News 12, Caro said he considers himself to be a longtime leader in the business world.
He served as the president and CEO of the Bronx Chamber of Commerce for 14 years.
He also worked as the chief of Government and Community Relations at Mercy University.
He shared what his vision is for the chamber with News 12 crews.
"My vision for the chamber is to help small businesses grow and get them to understand, 'If you're not minority-certified, come through us,'" Caro said.
Caro said the chamber is preparing to celebrate its 130th-year anniversary in 2025.
