Police chase ends in crash and arrest on Saw Mill Parkway in Hastings

A police chase in Westchester County ended with a crash and an arrest Sunday afternoon, according to county police.
Officers said they tried to stop a Kia sedan on the southbound Saw Mill River Parkway near the I-287 interchange when the driver sped off.
The car crashed near Farragut Parkway in Hastings, and the driver ran into a wooded area.
A homeowner on Ronny Circle told police he believed the man was hiding under his rear porch.
Police arrested 24-year-old Joel Espinal of Manhattan without incident.
He faces charges including reckless driving and fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle.
Delaware State Police had also issued a warrant for his arrest on separate charges.
