The New York Yankees announced plans Wednesday for a Hard Rock Café in their new stadium, set to open in 2009.
The restaurant will be situated on the corner of 161st Street and River Avenue. The Yankees plan to have it open year-round.
The team also announced plans to develop a steak house with Seminole Hard Rock Entertainment.
"Adding popular and premier dining options such as the Hard Rock Cafe and NYY Steak was done with our fans in mind," said Yankees Chief Operating Officer Lonn Trost.
During a news conference, Hard Rock also pledged to donate 26 guitars to two Bronx-based programs that focus on music, entertainment and sports.
"The Bronx is home to doo-wop, hip hop, salsa and now the Hard Rock," said Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrión Jr.
