A World War II destroyer escort made its way up the Hudson River Monday.
After having some major work done, the USS Slater began her voyage from Staten Island to her home in Albany.
The Slater passed through the lower Hudson Valley in the morning and passed West Point by 1 p.m.
The warship, which served in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, is now a floating museum. It is the sole remaining World War II destroyer escort ship.
