Thousands of woman across the country took to Twitter to discuss their very personal stories, using hashtags #whyistayed and #whyileft.

Karen Cheeks Lomax, CEO of White Plains nonprofit My Sister's Place, says that if there is any good that has come from the Ray Rice case, it's that the entire nation is now talking about domestic violence and bringing it out of the shadows.
