Commuters got stuck in traffic along I-87 in Ardsley this morning after police say a woman jumped from a nearby bridge.

State police say it happened near exit 7 around 7 a.m. today.

They say a middle-aged woman climbed over the fence of the Ashford Avenue Bridge and jumped landing on the northbound lane of the Thruway. 

The woman survived the fall and is being treated at Westchester Medical Center.
