A woman has died after being struck by a train in Yonkers Thursday night.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident, which happened at the Glenwood train station.

Eyewitnesses say the woman was walking on the station’s platform when the force of the train passing by caused her to lose her balance and fall onto the track.

There were no trains moving northbound between the Glenwood and Greystone stations during the investigation, but the MTA said no other significant delays were occurring.
