The race pits Democratic candidate Justin Brasch, a city councilman, against Republican Lenny Lolis, a 20-year city employee.
Brasch is campaigning on keeping White Plains “safe, affordable and thriving” – emphasizing continuity and community programs. Lolis says the city’s infrastructure is “crumbling” – pointing to falling concrete in a downtown garage as a symbol of deeper issues.
The final weekend before Election Day brought heated exchanges between the two candidates. Brasch accused Lolis of running “the most negative campaign I’ve ever seen.” Lolis countered that calling out safety concerns isn’t negativity — it’s realism.
