A White Plains house fire claimed the life of a young girl on Saturday morning.
The four-alarm fire broke out on Nut Grove Street at about 11 a.m.
The toddler and her grandfather were stuck in two upstairs bedrooms when the fire started. Firefighters were able to evacuate them and transport them to the hospital, but the girl did not make it.
There is no word yet on the grandfather's condition or the cause of the fire.
