Chef Giovanni, of Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace, shows News 12's Lily Stolzberg how to make Pumpkin Cheesecake.

INGREDIENTS:

3lbs. boneless short rib
½ cup flour
1tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ cup oil
1 green pepper (thinly sliced)
1 red pepper (thinly sliced)
1 small white onion (thinly sliced)
1 tbs. garlic (chopped)
10 ea. button mushrooms (quartered)
¼ cup capers
½ cup pitted mixed olives
2 cups red wine
1 quart marinara
1 tsp dried oregano

DIRECTIONS:

1. Start by thinly slicing the boneless short rib (making sure to cut against the grain) and place in a bowl.
2. Add the flour, salt and pepper to the bowl and toss until all the meat is fully coated with flour.
3. Heat the oil in a large sauté pan.
4. Once the oil has reached temperature, carefully start searing each piece of short rib.
5. Once all the meat has been seared, remove from pan and set aside.
6. Drain the excess oil from the pan and add the sliced peppers, onions, mushrooms and sauté for one minute.
7. Next add the garlic and sauté for another minute.
8. Add the red wine and let simmer for one minute.
9. Next add the marinara, capers, olives and oregano and let simmer for one minute.
10. Add the seared meat and sauce to an oven safe pan.
11. Cover tightly and cook at 350 degrees for 90 minutes.
