A Westchester singer is moving on to the next round on “The Voice.”

David Vogel sang in his first "battle round" competition last night.

The Valhalla singer was up against fellow Team Ariana member Chavon Rodgers. The pop diva gave the deciding vote to Vogel.

Grammy-winning singer and fellow judge John Legend had glowing praise for Vogel. "What I love about David is that clarity. Your tone is really appropriate for the genre. Like I can hear a record, I can hear you on the radio. It just connected to me. So, I would side with David," he said.

After his big win, next up for Vogel is the knockout competition.
