Residents throughout Westchester are dealing with yet another day in the dark Friday, due to power outages from Tuesday?s storms.
Crews were out around hard-hit areas in the county trying to restore power to the 5,000 people still without electricity. To make matters worse, storms on Friday brought down more trees and power lines and caused road closures due to flooding. Snapped utility poles and scattered tree limbs line many streets. Residents say as the days pass by, living without power is becoming increasingly difficult.
County officials are pushing Con Edison to get power restored as soon as possible. A Con Edison spokesperson says the delays are due to unprecedented damage throughout the county. Con Ed hopes to have all residents back on line by Sunday.
