The Westchester Parks Foundation has announced a remarkable surge in its 2023 achievements.
This year, they've noted a 32% uptick in volunteer projects and a threefold increase in tree planting activities.
With the dedication of nearly 4,000 volunteers, close to 475 projects have been completed, spanning across 38 parks in Westchester County.
These efforts encompassed planting nearly 2,500 trees and removing almost 7,500 pounds of trash from the Bronx River.
