A Bedford man is facing charges after Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers discovered a loaded gun in his carry-on bag at Newark Airport yesterday.

The man, who was headed to France, had the gun and five bullets in his bag when it was intercepted at a security checkpoint.

He was taken into custody and faces fines of up to $15,000.
