Westchester County held its 55th annual Salute to Seniors event Wednesday in New Rochelle in honor of Older Americans Month.
The event was held as an opportunity to bring the county's seniors together while also spreading awareness of programs and services available to help them feel healthy and safe.
More than 800 seniors and 69 exhibitors attended.
"It's not just a celebration for this particular occasion but for also recognizing the accumulated wisdom and service that's represented here. It's really been a gift to all of us," said New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson.
This is the third Salute to Seniors event held this month.
Two other events were held, one on May 10 in Hartsdale and another on May 17 in Croton-on-Hudson.
