The volume on the contentious Westchester district attorney's race was turned up Wednesday as the candidates in the Democratic primary debated each other.
Incumbent Janet DiFiore and her challenger, Rye lawyer Tony Castro, took shots at each other over police brutality, botched prosecutions and their integrity at a debate inside News 12 Westchester's studios.
The Democratic primary will take place Sept. 15, but Castro says he plans to run on the Independence and Working Party lines if he loses, while DiFiore says she would run on the Conservative Line.
Dan Schorr is the Republican candidate.
