Westchester County is preparing for more rain and wind, while picking up the pieces from the last storm.
"Sometimes we have long stretches of quietness, and sometimes we have back-to-back-to back-to-back-storms, and this is one of those times," said Commissioner of Yonkers Department of Public Works Thomas Meier.
Yonkers residents picked up sandbags to get ready for possible flooding.
The same storm that dumped water on Yonkers earlier this week also caused flooding in other parts of Westchester County, including Croton-on-Hudson by the train station parking lot.
"It was almost like a little lake but after 24 hours it just started to go back, it started to recede," said Croton-on-Hudson Resident Ronald Brozowski.
Officials also warn residents that flooding is expected along Elliott Way in Croton-on-Hudson.
The village says the storm could create tidal flooding along the Hudson River with Saturday morning's high tide expected to bring the worst conditions.
Officials are urging residents to take precautions when heading out on the roadways.
